Pilot for a day
The perfect way to try paragliding — and get a feel for the sport we love so much here at the club.

The day’s programme
On the intro day you learn the basic skills of paragliding. We start with a short intro to the equipment and how it is used in different situations on the ground. Once we have trained a little on the ground, we move slowly up the slope, where you get your first taste of weightlessness as you run with the paraglider.
Throughout the day we practise "kiting" the wing — and the experience gets more and more under your skin.

Do you get airborne?
Once you can control the wing on the ground, we move up the hill and you will be able to fly back down. This requires your membership of the club and DHPU plus course registration to be in place before your first flight.
Along the way we take short breaks to talk about club life and what you can experience as a paraglider pilot. An intro day usually lasts 3–6 hours depending on the weather, and all necessary equipment — wing, harness, helmet and radios — is provided by the club all day.
Practical info
Just bring some food, plenty to drink and practical clothing — the field can get a little muddy. The intro day is held at Hersted Høje nature centre in Albertslund, or elsewhere depending on the day’s weather.
