Courses at Airwave

Based near Copenhagen we offer intensive beginner courses in paragliding & paramotor plus advanced training across Denmark.

Beginner course in paragliding

Our beginner course consists of two stages — Safepro Para 1 and Para 2 — taught intensively over 10–12 days in a beautiful landscape at home or in Macedonia. Here all the good habits are formed and the fundamental theory and correct muscle memory are learned, so your first flights are flown safely.

Includes: rental of all paragliding equipment, your own helmet, practical + theory tuition, handbooks, Pilot ID and rating card, and an electronic logbook.

Price: DKK 8,550. Plus mandatory membership + insurance: DKK 1,550 for the calendar year.

Towards independent pilot

After the beginner course we go deeper and fine-tune your muscle memory. You learn ridge soaring on the Danish coastal cliffs and how to use thermals to climb on nature’s power alone (club record: 5,450 m). Stages 3 and 4 are delivered as one package and make you an independent pilot.

PPG — Paramotor

Motorised paragliding is a fast-growing branch of the sport. Imagine your own ~30 kg aircraft that fits in your car boot, is ready in minutes and can take off and land in as little as 10 metres.

Airwave designed a dedicated PPG training programme approved by DHPU and the Danish Transport Authority in 2020. It has 4 stages across 2 courses, and you borrow the best PPG equipment (Parajet Maverick and Fly Products Eclipse) throughout.
